Hello


the arabic learning school belongs to Le Département d’Enseignement de l’Arabe Contemporain DEAC,Le Centre Français de Culture et de Coopération en Egypte will open a new branch this winter here in luxor.

The DEAC in Luxor offers training in Arabic as a Foreign Language for all audiences, from complete beginners to proficient users (levels A1 to C1 - CEFRL, Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

The aim of the course is to enable students to communicate naturally in spoken and written Arabic in real situations, taking into account the language’s many variations. The DEAC course seeks to reflect the linguistic reality of Egypt, aiming also to give students an introduction to Egyptian society in order to better understand the events and debates that shape the Arab world in the twenty-first century.

Evening-class session at DEAC luxor
4 hours weekly (from 6 to 8 pm)
October - December 2010

Egyptian Colloquial Arabic
a session of 40 hours (1620 EGP)
(every Monday and Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm)
4 levels are offered according to request:
from complete beginners to advanced levels
Courses start on Monday 4th October 2010

Introduction to reading and writing Arabic
a session of 40 hours (1620 EGP)
(every Sunday and Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm)
Learn to decipher and write the Arabic language
There is no prerequisite for this course
Courses start on Sunday 3rd October 2010

Media Arabic
a session of 40 hours (1620 EGP)
(every Sunday and Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm)
3 levels are offered: basic (50-100 hours of Standard Arabic),
intermediate (200 hours) and advanced
Courses start on Sunday 3rd October 2010

registration and level test in the DEAC
26th, 28th, 30th September 2010 from 4 to 8 pm

Winter short term courses in Luxor 2010-2011
40 hrs / 2 weeks; 20 hrs per week
from Sunday to Thursday from 9:00 am to 1:15 pm

Two basic levels are offered (class: min. 5, max. 13)
-Complete beginners
-Basic users (level A1/A2 – CEFRL)

-Complete beginners: no knowledge of Arabic language is required to participate in this course. It combines everyday spoken Egyptian Arabic (20 hrs: role play and daily life, acquisition and themed use of vocabulary, listening and phonology, basic grammar) and introduction to contemporary written Arabic (20 hrs: introduction to writing, “write to read” and applied grammar).
Please note: this course is for total beginners, in written and spoken Arabic, and we urge you not to depart from this rule.

-Basic users (level A1/A2 – CEFRL): fundamentals of everyday spoken Arabic (20 hrs: role play and daily life, acquisition and themed use of vocabulary, listening and phonology, basic grammar), and contemporary written Arabic (20 hrs: the press and applied grammar).

Hours: 40 hrs / 2 weeks; 20 hrs per week from Sunday to Thursday from 9:00 am to 1:15 pm; week-end: Friday and Saturday.

Duration:
session 1: from 17th to 28th October 2010
session 2: from 31st October to 11th November 2010
session 3: from 28th November to 9th December 2010
session 4: from 26th December 2010 to 6th January 2011
session 5: from 9th to 20th January 2011
session 6: from 23rd January to 3rd February 2011
session 7: from 13th to 24th February 2011
session 8: from 27th February to 10th March 2011



Fees: 285 € payable by cheque in Euros or 2300 EGP

Is it possible to just take the spoken Arabic courses?

the evening class has ECA as spoken Arabic every monday and wednesday
