Great And Easy recipe for "Koshary"

Koshary

Ingredients

2 cups rice
1 ½ cups lentil
2 onions sliced into rings
3 spoons of oil or butter
Salt - pepper

Ingredients for tomato sauce

1 cup squeezed tomato
2 spoons butter
2 spoons vinegar
Peeper - hot pepper
1 cup of water

Steps:

1. Start with making the tomato sauce
2. Fry the butter or the oil then add to it squeezed tomato then keep heating till its fully cooked.
3. Add the water and leave it to boil, then lift it from the fire and add the salt, pepper the vinegar and the hot peeper.
4. Wash both the rice and the lentil separately
5. Boil the rice and the lentil in water separately
6. Separate both from their waters and mix them in one container
7. Fry the butter or the oil and in it fry the onion then remove it and pour the remaining oil or butter on the rice and the lentil
8. Heat the koshary for 10 minutes

I'm too lazy to cook Koshary - it involves far too many pans with rice, lentils, pasta, sauce and fried onions.

Far easier (and tastier!) to pop down to the shop!

I know, it's such a lot of pans on the go, but when you don't have the option of popping out and getting a pot it's worth it Goddess :D :P :P
I often get a craving for koshary and out comes everything in the kitchen :lol:
