Cairo Passport Office
Hi Keefy,
I'll be driving up to Cairo soon with a friend, after Ramadan of course.. I've never been to the Capital before and when I'm there I'll need to go to the Cairo Passport Office for a new Visa. As I'm sure you know, I'm having problems with the Luxor Passport Office. I was hoping you would be kind enough to tell me where to find the Cairo office and any other advice you may wish to pass on to me.
.
Kind regards
Wizard.

Re: Cairo Passport Office
A friend lost his passport and had to get temporary documents from the Embassy then take them to Mogamma to have all his visa stamps put on. It's quite near the Egyptian Museum and sorry Wiz he said it was a nightmare, he is a strong man and speaks quite good Arabic but he rang me from there nearly in tears. The police in there nearly knocked him to the ground he kept being sent from one window to another, after 5 hours he phoned the embassy and complained they told him to find a police man someone from the embassy spoke to the officer and things went more smoothly after that.
All I can say is take your prozac, blood pressure tablets and good luck.

Plenty of loose 10LE notes in your pocket,( so it looks like the last of your money) and some nice looking pens...

Can't give you the advice you require WIZARD, but something I can offer you is to go dressed in your avatar gear. They are s**t scared of WIZARDS, automatically respecting their powers to the point of actually PAYING THEM for advice and protection. All in all your visit and requirements should take all of five minutes to complete.WIZARD wrote:Hi Keefy,

Please be careful. I've just read that another bomb has gone off in Cairo today - this time near the presidential palace.

Re: Cairo Passport Office
Thanks for your concern Heps, I hadn't planned on going up to Cairo anyway until after Ramadan is over. I intend on taking the journey very slowly, over a time span of about three or four days. I'll need to rest up in Cairo for a while before facing up to the horrendous ordeal I will have to endure at the main passport office over the following day or two.

Do you need to drive? There must be less stressful ways to get there that will avoid most of the hot-spots.WIZARD wrote:Thanks for your concern Heps, I hadn't planned on going up to Cairo anyway until after Ramadan is over. Re: Cairo Passport Office
Thank you Brian for your concern. A great deal of thought has gone into which mode of transport would be most appropriate for both me and my disabilities.. It's the only form of transport that is both flexible and at the same time leaves me in control.

Re: Cairo Passport Office
Thank you BM. I didn't know there were so many Passport Offices in Cairo. I'm going to have a great deal to do sorting them out.Bullet Magnet wrote:Does this help Wizard.. ?

Thank you BM, I guess it's going to take me some time to sort out all this information.

Re: Cairo Passport Office
It WILL all work out in the end.. Planning and the right attitude,
you walk in there like you already have that visa, just waiting fro you to collect.
We will be thinking of you.. All the best..
