Lock Everyone Up.

Post by Hafiz »

Political prisoners are difficult to track – indeed under the State of Emergency even discussing them is a military crime. Maybe that’s why the Egyptian media ignores them except to declaim Western NGO’s like Amnesty International as dirty filthy liars. Maybe the Egyptian media ignores this because it is told to - I think the second.

I rely on al Haaretz because they have access to Israeli spies.

They say there are 504 prisons with 60,000 political prisoners and 1250 ‘missing’ as at 18 months ago – I think that means 1250 dead. https://www.haaretz.com/middle-east-new ... -1.5440308

Of course Al Haaretz are dirty filthy Jews and know nothing – I think they know most and are trusted for telling the truth. I’m sure the figure is higher now which makes Egypt the country with the largest number of political prisoners in the world – per capita. Its important to remember that these prisoners have no access to lawyers, open civil courts or a right of appeal.

CNN (lying Jews also – as are all Western media) said six months ago there was regular, systematic and regular torture of political prisoners. One former detainee described it as an ‘assembly line’. The Egyptian Government and Parliamentarians have denounced the report and its source (Human Rights Watch) – as always with MP’s and the Minister of Foreign Affairs they are pillars of integrity and truth. https://edition.cnn.com/2017/09/06/afri ... index.html

If the above is true it would seem there are hundreds and possibly low thousands of violent, amoral, sadists in the police and security services. In current conditions people with such ‘skills’ are probably more likely to be promoted to senior jobs – so these evil skills will dominate for another generation.

In October 2017 the President told French TV ‘there are no political prisoners in Egypt”. He is infallible and truthful therefore I’m sure he’s right https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20171 ... says-sisi/

That western powers use their taxpayers money to support this system is an outrage – but probably reflects the laziness of western taxpayers about how their money is used – we are fools.

The NYT claims that at the end of the reign of that old crook and brute Mubarak there were 5,000-10,000 (some say 20,000) political prisoners. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/14/maga ... -jail.html a charming article about the imprisoned Ahmed Maher former leader of the January 2011 youth movement – very sad.

Therefore things seem many times worse. Defenders will say that the numbers represent just terrorists – but that can’t be true because terrorism is exploding in direct proportion to imprisonments. The more imprisoned the worse is the terrorism. Maybe the wrong people/non-terrorists are in jail.

The Police and Security Services don’t care what people/countries think because National Public Radio of the US says 20 of the ‘detainees’ are US. https://www.npr.org/2017/04/03/52242465 ... -u-s-visit the article gives first hand accounts of brutal torture. http://www.newsweek.com/mike-pence-free ... ypt-772111

There are specific reports of excesses and prisoner strikes at Aqrab (Scorpion also known as Tora) Prison (located about 1k south of the Grand Mall Maadi and about 700 metres inland from the Nile. Human Rights Watch thought in October last year that the Egyptian courts might intervene because conditions were so bad https://www.hrw.org/news/2017/10/31/hop ... on-inmates Seems a niave and ill-informed view – just what you would expect from the niave HRW.

Some say that 80% of prisoners in this ‘facility’ are striking – as if anyone assumed the Egyptians to manage anything including even a repression/prison system https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20171 ... er-strike/

If they killed all the prisoners as their great hero Stalin (a superb exterminator) did there would be none of this decadent Western stuff.

Executions are never mentioned in the Egyptian media but always follow military courts – as if the regular courts were not the worst in the world. https://www.middleeastobserver.org/2017 ... officials/ and https://www.middleeastobserver.org/2018/01/02/40317/

It tells us something about our ‘moral sensitivity’ that we go crazy about Guantanamo Bay but ignore the rest.

It also tells us something about Egypt that this random horror (who ever thought the Police made correct decisions) gets little attention whilst hundreds of Mubarak era crooks parade free in Cairo and are now members of Parliament. The national toilet has not been flushed.

Its amazing that idiot package tourists travel to Egypt. But those who have met them know well their interests are cheapness, alcohol – and sex to add to their sad, dead end lives.

That the Western media has a universal loathing for what is going on should be no surprise (unlike the package tourists they can generally read and write) and eventually this may have an impact on political decision-making.

Mubarak was a monster but he never did any of this stuff - therefore things are much worse - but domestic security is not improved by the worse police and Security Services behavior. Maybe cracking down, torturing and killing doesn't work - not that the Egyptian government is interested in learning from its mistakes - because the mistakes have been so many/never actually happened.
