Pushing Sharm and Hurghada, looks like Luxor will have to depend on day visitors. With the price of hotels here I'm not surprised.

Exit nearly any shop in Luxor you'll end up coming out looking like that, the barstewards of shopkeepers here even want the shirt of your backs when giving you ''the price.''

Yes "D" they do, and in doing so do themselves no favours whatsoever. But that is feeding through from the terrible mess the economy is in. Have rents gone up in Luxor to Europeans or have they not got round to that yet. With food, property tax, fuel, electric and water all doubling I would expect to see rents doubling too, to counter act.
