Just show them the ORIGINAL embassy marriage paper and your passport (forget the copies)
IF you have a resident visa then that alone should suffice.
Have a nice holiday!

Yes it is, and like Steigen said, there is no need for copies, just show the original. Tbh it has been years since they have asked to see our certificate on arrival but we always take it just in case.

Make sure your husband also takes an in date Egyptian ID card if he is travelling on anything but an Egyptian passport as he will need to show this to enter the country free of charge.

He's assuming you will pay any costs if any are required, not your husband. He's implying you should not believe your husband if he quotes a price. In other words, that he will rip you off for more than is required.

Many here would have assumed this already. Not all. Have a wonderful time despite them. Or in spite of them. :wi

my husband is telling me it is free. It is me just being cautious what with all the visa changes. My hub lives in the UK and works. I don't work now due to illness however he pays for rent and all household bills plus he has paid for our trip including renting a villa with pool so i can take time to relax. we just celebrated 10 years of marriage last week. No person ripping me off.

I would have thought if he is an Egyptian National with ID card and the required papers there really should not be a problem. But we are talking of the new Egypt now, where no one really knows whats going on, due to not being told. All in all though there really should not be a problem with the correct papers. By rights the only people that would have problems is those holding sex certificates (ORFI) but because you have a proper marriage I would not have thought you would have any problems.

Sure you will have a great time Amanda, relax by the pool and enjoy. Some of us do realize that not all Egyptians are rip off merchants and I am just sorry that you felt it necessary to explain that fact.

Yes Amanda, you can enter Egypt without paying for a $25 sticker.....just produce your marriage certificate.

I assume it's a short stay. If you intend to stay for more than a month I think you'll need to apply for an extension or even a resident permit.

Ignore Who 2's quip.......clearly based on a misunderstanding of your marital circumstances
