Behind the museum but not in the grounds.
Head north along the corniche from the museum ticket office and take the first street on the right. After 20 yards or so there's a set of black metal gates on your right. The office which doles out the Luxor Pass is through these gates in a building on the right. There will be someone at the gates to point you to the correct door.

Not really worth your while coming all the way from Cyprus for one.

Life is your's to do with as you wish- do not let other's try to control it for you. Count Dusak- 1345.

Finding it great JL, so much to do, loads of entertainment. Up in the mountains it's great! We have had a new lease of life and our health and life has vastly improved. The problem is and I suppose it's like all places, the tourists never go much further than the tourists areas and they miss so much. He supermarkets are always full, none of the "We have not had a delivery yet" We are halfway up the Mountain in Tala, very peaceful, very clean, I will send you some pics, to put on here if you can please, I still get this process wrapped around my neck. Today going to Latchi Marina for a seafood lunch, and then to a winery to check out a few wines. The most improvement in our lives has been efficiency, after 8 years of confusion.
But yes we love it, especially the temperatures, you can walk do what you want and not be overpowered. Ok the cost f living is more, but not as much as the UK. I think it's mainly the cheapness of Luxor that keeps people there, I can see no other reason. But the effect of stress and getting nowhere fast in Luxor due to red tape and untrained people in jobs, is a greater part of not being able to enjoy yourself, than the cost of living.

Speaking as someone who not that long ago seriously considered moving there i can say that the cost of living was never a factor in my thinking.

Cyprus will be getting very hot and humid soon, so it may be wise to head out to Oz ASAP, as the winter is fast approaching,
But even then, my kid brother still complains about the lack of rain in Queensland.
I do find it odd that Luxor did not suit you. The place positively energises me.
If I died and they buried me in Luxor, I would probably be down at the local bar enjoying a Stella by the end of the same evening...

The only thing that energized me in Luxor for the final two years JL was when I put my fingers in one of the plugs.
