I was just checking Egyptair tickets and noticed that a roundtrip Luxor-Copenhagen would cost me 660 EGP less than when I looked a few days ago. Not that I expect there to be much interest in tickets to Copenhagen, but there may be money to save to or from other airports.
The fare is "Best Buy", and all I can see is that only 1x23 kg luggage is allowed. I am not sure if it is worth it. It is probably a new campaign that will be announced soon.

I had an email a couple of days ago about the launch.

Hasn't tbere always been a 'best buy' in the blue column options?
I think it may be the conditions attached to it that has changed e.g the one bag policy.
Any one booking multi destination flights or going through a third party agent should be very careful and makesure they are booking with all the conditions they think they are before accepting the quote and finalising the booking.

No, that is the "Best Offer", which usually includes two bags and in my case costs EGP 660 more than "Best Buy". I do not know, why I have not received the newsletter. Using an iPad, I only see the headline mentioning the one bag. If I had more details, I would share them.

Ah! My confusion. I've not had an email either. I just keep getting invitations to upgrade flights with them at a high percentage reduction but which still works out at way more than cost of total return flights for just one leg of journeys. What's more, most of the services it is offering in the upgrade I don't think are availble on its UK flights anyway!

That letter, Hepzibah, is not from Egyptair, but from some company that offers upgrade. You open it because the headline makes it look important and they keep sending it. I noticed that you will lose your frequent flyer miles, if you fall for the temptation.
In other words: You have bought yourself a ticket!?

I have heard of the last couple of months people have been caught out by buying the cheapest ticket only to find the 1 x23k luggage especially when booking through third parties.

Yes Bombay, lots of people have been caught out by it as it isn't clear. Oddly it seems that with some tickets they issue 2 x 23k bags on one leg of the journey but not both! This happens when booking through third parties or with Egyptair direct. That is why each time the subject comes up I keep strongly advising people to check all the details carefully before making that final commitment. Trying to sort it out later is beyond a nightmare - believe me!

Apart from the price to Copenhagen, the only information that I can find about this particular offer, is that you can check in one piece of luggage. It says so very clearly on the front page:
Travelling with One Piece up to 23 kilo...Start your journey on 16th October&Enjoy our best buy offer...Book now
One piece! Could be worth it for some, I have not yet decided, but I thought that I would share. One piece.

THIS WEEKEND, 14-17/10, there is an even better offer:
35% off international journeys (not the domestic leg) before tax and
not only "Best Buy".
The ticket has to be bought from outside Egypt and the price is in USD, but depending on the exchange rate, I would personally save around EGP 500 on the ticket that I found yesterday with one bag, which was already EGP660 cheaper than "Best Offer", but I would have to make up my mind before Monday.
For me, it could be attractive to bring one bag to Copenhagen (Best Buy) and with a couple of hundred gineh extra, two bags back here (Best Offer), it is just that all my bags keep ending up in Luxor ...
Just sharing!

There is an offer on with them at the moment to get 40% off excess baggage. Its only on offer until 17th though.
I posted it on the Luxor4U Facebook page yesterday.

Just checked.
Egyptair Monday flights, LHR-LXR & return are now £309 on many dates with "Globehunters". Unfortunately they don't give the baggage information before taking the money, but as I only bring one 23kg bag that does not bother me. Dates I have looked at are outbound 31/10/2016 with return on 7/11/2016, 12/12/2016, 3/4/2017 or 24/4/2017. All the same price.
Flying out on 17/10/2016 or 24/10/2016 brings the price down further to £299.

The offer is only for bookings made on or before 17th October (tomorrow) and is valid only on International flights booked outside of Egypt. It is not valid on domestic legs.
Manchester-Cairo is also a good price
