For obvious reasons I won't go into details of how on a public forum, security needs to be re-examined on a fundamental level.
And how many times has this happened and been successful?
Who knows? Not all details of terrorist attacks are given out, just because it hasn't been on the news it doesn't mean it hasn't happened or isn't likely to happen.
Doesn't mean its happened either

Ever since 1991 all electrical items in my hand luggage have been fully charged as I was asked to turn on my video camera and the battery was flat -luckily I had a spare charged battery with me. On various occasions since then I have been asked to turn on the laptop, camera, phone etc -this has been at various airports around the world going to different places.

Zooropa, you forgot to add 'or likely to happen', but how outlandish is the idea? I could name 3 items that can be bought in the departure lounge shops that could be made into an incendiary or explosive device, in a very few minutes. The point I am making is that there is no such thing as total security.

You know how the CIA and FBI et al keep heir premises secure ?

Dogs. It all you need.

Want to know how drugs and guns and illegals get into our country ?
Not in passengers luggage that's for sure.. Private airports and military airports, that's how it's done.. :br
