Ooh, what a good idea! You should make this a permanent sticky or summat. I will become a fascinating and valuable archive. One day, when I sit down long enough, I will teach myself how to load photos (I know, I know, it's dead simple, I've just never been taught or found the time to practise). Now I am retired.... insha'allah. I have some fab pics.

"I will become a fascinating and valuable archive."

Sorry WI, I know it's only a typo. But you must admit it's a corker!

I was just thinking Chocolate Eclair said somewhere how dirty the canals are on the West Bank with lots of rubbish everywhere, look how clean the canal is in the first post, I followed it for a long way and did not see one bit of rubbish.

A great idea. I'll definitely join in.
I might agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong!

"look how clean the canal is in the first post,"

I wouldn't necessarily put that down to the East Bank people being more environmentally aware though, Keefy. It's more likely to be that it's just in a less populous area.

This is a great idea! I'm looking forward to seeing loads more photos of 'modern' Luxor, because the last time i was in Luxor was in 2004 and it's changed a bit since then I believe! :up

Cracking topic Keefy. :up
I hope more people will put up some more recent pictures...please.. :wi

While it is nice to browse through my own collection of pictures, you do wonder as you look at them "what's it like now" or "what is happening there now" ?

I have never seen TV street so quiet, but then, I am usually eating breakfast at that time in the morning.. :cg

It was just like that when I went to Luxor last week - at 3.30 in the afternoon!
