The mood in Luxor is fine, Steve!
The mood on Luxor4U, however, is not how it used to be... x:?

The mood on Luxor4u may be affected by this site I fell into this evening:

Bearded Brian, I very rarely bother to read Jewls posts any longer as reently they all seem to be quite boring (to me), but this one I actually found offensive.
If you knew me BB you would know that I am the last person to say that to, as I am very open minded and realise probably more than a lot of people that we are indeed all different BUT I still wonder why Jewel bothers posting on here when she appears to try to offend !

I don't know what is offensive about the truth mini may? :? After all I was just stating the penalties for offences like stealing, and "highway robbery" under sharia or Islamic law, which will be in force under an Islamic regime.

These are facts whatever your own personal "opinion" is on the subject.

What would you know about the mood in Luxor Jewel, you haven't been here for years, why are you posting on this thread when it is something you know absolutely nothing about? Your use of any and every thread for your prejudices and hatred is becoming very boring. :x

Article 2 of the Egyptian Constitution has stated "The principles of Islamic Sharia are the main sources of legislation” since 1980. So how is it that your "facts" have been wrong for 30 years?

With the greatest respect,I probably know Egypt far better than you, as I have been going, and actually went there with my work, since 1980.

I was there year before last KA, and sad to say could see the decline even then, and know several people resident in Egypt, so I base my posts on slightly more than prejudices, our dear friends who used to go twice a year for nearly 20 years but after their last visit now go elsewhere. :|

The "sharia" law under mubaraks rule was moderated as he always kept the more extreme factions of MB and salafis at bay, but as he is now no longer around..................

There is such a thing as reverse(or should that be converse) prejudice KA, It is all a matter of being a critical thinker or not

And why should Jewel not be prejudiced against the sharia punishments in that list. So should everyone on this forum be. They are a relic of medieval times and have no place in the modern world.

Sorry but you missed the point entirely. It wasn't a comment on any particular post but the poster of the posts!

With respect, everyone who posts anything here, or elsewhere on the Internet, is prejudiced. This only becomes an issue if the writer's predudices do not agree with the reader's.
