Mari-Girgis

On my roof and decided by the amount of laden 'homes from Cairo it was Coptic Time, my mate William confirmed tomorrow for seven days it's all happening at 'Mar-Girgis (St George) Monastery near the village of Ruzaiqat, up the road.
Trying to find out who and why, I found out that the Coptic Calendar has 13 months.

Any how digging deeper this, is what it's all about. I think, or perhaps not.

And as it's a full moon 111111 standing room only in Luxor temple...you lucky 'mooners you!...........8)
PS: I know I shouldn't advertise on here, but as a safety warning my stall will be located next to the ticket office selling these guaranteed safety appliances at only $265 each:

I don't think the 11/11/11 mooners are interested in Mari Girgis (the festival of St George is always celebrated on November 11 in this area). Are the sky-watchers expecting something special – especially as it didn't happen last year on 10/10/10, and possibly won't next year on 12/12/12! But hats off to the Dr (or maybe hats on) for being ready...

And for the first time, Remembrance Day tomorrow will have four 11s ... at the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month in 2011.

111111 festivities are at Giza tomorrow. As are the protesters. Should be interesting.

"And for the first time, Remembrance Day tomorrow will have four 11s ... at the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month in 2011."

And it's at least 11 times more important!

So they have decided to close the pyramids now...

Not to mention there is a very heavy police presence around the site.

It is strange how so many people find significance in palindromic dates! Maybe the authorities might close Luxor Temple if so many believers turn up!
I might agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong!

So what do they believe in ? The full moon or 1O1O1O or 111111 next it will be 121212....'spare me the ramblings of the moonies..........8)

They dined on mince, and slices of quince,
Which they ate with a runcible spoon;
And hand in hand, on the edge of the sand,
They danced by the light of the moon.
