There is a smoking lounge in the Domestic Terminal but I'm not sure about the International Terminal

Yes, there is a smoking area after the final security check at the gates. You should find this small area to the right of gate 5 and 6. The main area of the airport though is a no no.

I well remember, when I was still a smoker, lighting up in Luxor Airport as I stood next to a policeman who was also smoking. The cheeky b****r made me put mine out! (He probably now has a job in Starmer's two tier English police 'service'!)

There is a smokers shop opposite The Emilio, bought 2x50gms Camel rolling tobacco, turns out it was chinese.
Went back a week later for a 'shakla' and it was shut, spoke to my pal Coptic George next door telling him I'm
coming back. So smokers beware..... 8)

Ps: 20 years ago it was snide chinese Marlboro and Cleopatra..

I well remember those. They reminded me of burning oily rags in our old pot-bellied cast iron stove in the 60's; perfectly disgusting!

I dropped off a packet of Amber Leaf for you to her next door.

Hope you enjoy it.

I'll let you know when I'm next coming back and will grab what you need from the airplane.
Duty free is half UK shop price.
Airplane is a 3rd of UK shop price.
Don't look back. That's not the direction you are travelling towards.

Thank You A-Four, I found the lounge no problem.
I had completely forgotten about it's location.

The fire alarm at the airport went off as I stubbed put my last ciggie and went to gate 5 to board my plane.
There were fire engines zooming down the road by where the shuttle busses pick up and drop off the passengers.
As our shuttle pulled out to take us the the aircraft, I could see plumes of black smoke billowing out of the airport building, not far from the departure gates.

Those who had just arrived were not allowed into the building and had to wait outside, so could make no further progress from the shuttle bus drop off point.
Don't look back. That's not the direction you are travelling towards.

I'm just hoping it was not caused by you stubbing out your last cigarette there.
