At last she found one in an obscure little dust laden shop she pasted in a back ally that had bits a cabling in the window. He had to search high and low for it, but was adamant in finding what he insisted he had somewhere. 35Le, works perfectly.

So as a reward she gets her new shoes on Saturday.

I have a Seagate & a Samsung as backups to my main hard drive, you never really know when any of them will fail, especially the mechanical type.

I have a 'my passport' 1 terabyte. You only have to nudge the cable and it shuts down, so you have to start all over again. I now have two Toshiba,s from the UK, dropped one on the ceramic tiles, no problem with it.

Definitely worth a look. I have used them for all sorts of computer stuff. Bought an external WD hard drive from them and dropped it a few months later and it went on the blink. Took it back and they fixed it at no charge no quibble. Very honest helpful guys.

I don't mind buying a new cable as long as I can get one eight meters or there about's. I'll have to ask about the Omar's one, all I know is that she walked all over Luxor, which must of been a tidy walk as she wants a new pair of shoes.

Have you tried "Office" just south of Omar's. Might be cheaper to get a single longer cable. I got HDMI cables there in the past.

No luck in any shops here, but she has been pointed in the direction of a new computer shop that supposedly sells all computer needs, but he was shut yesterday. She went in one shop, showing the very intricate diagram I had drawn, two HDMI cables meeting in the center complete with directional arrows towards what was obviously a connector. She told the guy that I needed to join the two together to make an eight meter length. ''I have,'' he stated, so pulled two four meters packs off the shelf. ''This will make eight meters,'' he stated. ''But he needs one length, not two,'' she told him. ''Oh, he will need a connector then, we don't have.'' If the time ever comes when I leave Luxor, I will miss these sales pitches.

That's exactly what I need, 'she' has gone on the hunt today around Luxor. I could not say more carrie as old stick in the mud Horus may have deleted it as being too sexually explicit, talking about two males connecting with a female.

What a disappointment was looking forward to a really juicy post. Don't even know what a female connector is so no help from me I'm afraid but I will ask a friend who seems to be up on these complicated things.
